What do we do?

"At Rare Dragon Fruit, we run a boutique family farm in Agnes Water, Queensland, specialising in over 150 different varieties of dragon fruit. We supply fresh fruit, potted plants, and cuttings to home gardeners, wholesalers, and nurseries, and we also share our knowledge through workshops, school visits, and community garden programs."

✨ Our Mission

"Our mission is to grow and promote diverse, sustainable, and delicious varieties of dragon fruit while educating and inspiring others to cultivate this unique fruit. "

🤝 Community & 🌱 Environment

We believe farming should nurture both people and the planet. That’s why we:

  • Use sustainable and organic-based methods
  • Practice polyculture farming, growing a variety of plants to support soil health and biodiversity. We keep bees (Native and European) chickens, ducks and grow a range of banana and tropical fruit. We love Jack fruit and creating diversity in our environment.
  • Reuse and recycle materials wherever possible, reducing waste and our environmental footprint.
  • Share our knowledge through community workshops, school groups, and garden clubs, encouraging others to grow their own food sustainably.
  • Support the local community with produce swaps, educational visits, and fresh seasonal products.

At Rare Dragon Fruit, we see our farm as part of a bigger ecosystem—one that thrives when the community, the land, and the plants are all cared for together.
